Aldridge Gardens

This Saturday, September 6th at 8:30am, we’re taking our Walk By Faith to one of the most beautiful places in Hoover—Aldridge Gardens.

Imagine walking beneath towering oaks and pines, the morning light reflecting across a still lake, and the sound of birdsong echoing all around. Aldridge is a hidden 30-acre sanctuary overflowing with hydrangeas, shaded trails, and an incredible diversity of birds that remind us of God’s creativity in every detail.

We’ll open our hearts to devotion, slow down long enough to hear His voice in the quiet, and be reminded that His presence is woven into creation.

And for those who love capturing the moment, I’ll be teaching a short photography lesson on ISO—showing you how to use light to tell a story.

Moss Rock Preserve

Kick off Alabama football in a powerful way this Saturday morning at Moss Rock Preserve.

Moss Rock Preserve in Hoover, AL has become one of my sacred places. It’s a true hidden gem with cascading waterfalls, massive boulders, and trails that weave through the quiet beauty of God’s creation.

I’ve spent countless hours here, camera in hand, capturing moments that have not only won awards but even earned a feature in Amateur Photographer Magazine. But more than that, this place has been a constant reminder of God’s presence.

I’d love for you to join me for my next “Walk By Faith” Nature Walk at Moss Rock on Saturday, August 30th at 8:00 AM.

Altadena Lake

Mark your calendar—Saturday, August 16th at 8AM, we’re going back to where it all began.

Altadena Lake in Vestavia Hills is the birthplace of Walk By Faith, and for good reason—it’s a hidden gem with more beauty than you can take in on a single visit.

This place has it all: a shimmering lake that mirrors the morning sky, a peaceful waterfall whispering over the rocks, a swamp that’s home to a busy beaver, winding woodland paths where deer quietly move through the trees, and wide-open grassy fields perfect for soaking in the fresh air.

Bird lovers—bring your long lenses! The residents here have feeders that attract an incredible variety of species, making it a paradise for both seasoned bird photographers and those picking up a camera for the first time.

This time, I’m diving deeper into the exposure triangle, focusing on aperture—what it is, how it works, and how to use it to capture everything from crisp landscapes to dreamy, blurred backgrounds.

Whether you’re here to grow in your faith, your photography skills, or both, this walk is for you.

Come ready to explore, to learn, and to be reminded that God’s creation is both vast and detailed—and so is His care for you.

Star Lake

Come join me for a peaceful Walk By Faith at Star Lake in Hoover, AL.

This lake has become one of my go-to places over the years. Not just to breathe and reflect, but to photograph some of the most beautiful moments in nature. It’s where I’ve captured award-winning shots of the Trumpeter Swans that grace these waters, along with a variety of birds, friendly ducks, and curious geese.

The walking path wraps around the lake and offers plenty of shaded spots to slow down, sit still, and soak in the peace of it all.

This isn’t just a walk. It’s a space to reconnect with your faith, clear your mind, and see the world a little differently. I’ll also be sharing a short devotion and a photography lesson on photographing birds on the water, to help you improve your spirit man and your skills.

Let’s walk with intention, rest in the stillness, and leave feeling renewed.
